On 15 September the council held a residents meeting for the Handbridge Park ward and CPRA were invited.

The meeting covered a range of topics several of which are relevant to us in Curzon Park. As you’ll know we’ve had several meeting with the council about highways issues and there will be an update on that in the next newsletter which will be out in November.

This year’s Annual General Meeting will be held on 14 September at Chester Golf Club starting at 7pm.

A welcome drink will be available.

One of the popular activities at our Jubilee Picnic on 12 June was painting on paper plates.

Last Sunday we held a successful family picnic on The Green to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. We’d postponed this from the 5 June because it had rained heavily that day.

The weather was great for us and we had a good turnout with over 100 people attending. The treasure hunt and the painting activities were very popular with children. The whole event had a really relaxed atmosphere and residents enjoyed meeting up with neighbours.

There were lots of pictures from the event. I have chosen some of the best.

Next week we will post pictures of the paper plate painting.

On 8 June 2022 we had a very successful trip to Bodnant Garden.

Our coach was full and the weather was good for the trip. Everything was in full bloom and the Laburnum Arch was splendid.

All in all a wonderful event – it was so good to see neighbours getting together after Covid. We have posted a few pictures taken on the trip.
