Chester Racecourse

With the encouragement and support of the Cheshire West and Chester Council, the Chester Race Company  is implementing a policy of developing the Roodee as a general entertainment venue.

There is progressive change in the way the open land and the racecourse buildings are being used and this has potential long-term implications for the whole of Curzon Park, not just for those who live closest.

CPRA aims to provide a focal point for concerns, and will engage with the Race Company, the local authority and other local resident associations to safeguard our communal interests.

As the current Chairman, Jim Shapton is the CPRA representative on the Racecourse Liaison Committee. Any matters that residents wish to raise that relate to the racecourse can be sent via email to Jim (chairman@cpraonline.org).
