Early Spring in Curzon Park

Yesterday on Saturday the 5 March we enjoyed sunny weather until the early afternoon. I took a few photographs of some of the daffodils and crocuses that are in bloom.

Carols on the Green Photographs

CPRA residents didn’t let the cold wet weather deter them from a joyful and festive Carols on the Green just before Christmas 2021.

The Royal Buckley Brass Band played warmly and wonderfully for us and Geoff Brown led us with gusto through the sequence of popular carols.

We had mulled wine and mince pies on offer.

All in all it was a great evening.

A big thank you to everyone who helped organise the event and make it happen on the night.

Here are four photographs from the evening.

CPRA and Climate Change

After our last CPRA coffee morning looking at the Climate Crisis, and the media coverage in the run up to COP26, have you changed something at home or in the garden that you would like to share with CPRA?

We could start up a webpage and list our local CPRA projects.  We would do it all anonymously, – no name or address, or identifying details, or suppliers.

So just the broad idea, timescales, and perhaps a photo at this stage.  If you have done something you think has worked well for you and the climate, please reply and let us know.

Curzon Park Sunflower Competition 2020

The Summer of 2020 will be remembered for many reasons however residents certainly made sure it was a colourful one.

Curzon Park was in full bloom as we held our first (inaugural) Sunflower Competition. We had sunflowers of all shapes and sizes, with some towering over 4m!

These wonderful entries certainly brought some additional brightness to the area.

After a close competition our winners are:
Winner: Anna Burman
Runners up: John Jones-Pritchard and Elspeth, Eloise & Theo Hesbert

Thank you to everyone who entered and we look forward to an even bigger and brighter Sunflower Competition next year!
